Information
Ghassan Abu Laban is a Jordanian critic and artist . He was born in the city of Bethlehem in 1964. He graduated in 1987 from Yarmouk University and worked as a full-time lecturer at the University of Jordan. After the 1967 war, his family settled in Amman.
Growing up and education
He studied primary school in Jabal al-Taj, and had the opportunity to view reproductions of classic paintings. In the middle school, Ghassan Abu Laban was commissioned to prepare, direct, draw, and color a wall magazine.
He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yarmouk University , and after graduating in 1987, Abu Laban held his first exhibition at the Jordanian Fine Artists Association.
