Abd al-Razzaq al-Hajj Abd al-Rahim Hussein (8 April 1949) is a literary academic, nonfiction writer, and poet of Jordanian origin. Born in Jerusalem. He obtained a Ph.D. in Arabic language from Cairo University in 1981. He worked as a professor of Arabic literature at the universities of Tiaret in Algeria, Imam Muhammad bin Saud in Riyadh, and the Sharia College in Al-Ahsa, then King Fahd University in Dhahran in 2001. He has written many books, poetry collections, short stories for children, and many studies In the history of Arabic and Islamic literature and children's literature.
Abd al-Razzaq al-Hajj Abd al-Rahim Hussein was born on April 8, 1949/10 Jumada al-Akhira 1368 AH in Jerusalem during the Jordanian administration of the West Bank. He studied the primary and intermediate stages in his hometown of Zeita and in the village of Jamma'in in the Nablus district. He completed his high school studies in Amman in 1968. He obtained a BA in Arabic from Beirut in 1972, a master’s degree from the Faculty of Language at Al-Azhar University in Cairo in 1975, and a PhD from the same faculty in 1981.
He worked in the Ministry of Education in Kuwait until 1980, then in the universities of Tiaret in Algeria for a period of 1981-1982, then at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Riyadh 1982-1985, then an associate professor at the College of Sharia in Al-Ahsa 1985-2001, then a professor of Arabic literature at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Dhahran since 2001.
He is a member of the International Islamic Literature Association.
