Information

Ayman Mahmoud Sobh, a Palestinian academic born in Gaza and a distinguished researcher in applied mathematics, obtained a professorship in mathematics and mathematical physics. He held several positions at Al-Aqsa University, the most important of which were Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dean of Admission and Registration, and Vice President for Academic Affairs. He is currently the President of Al-Aqsa University in Gaza. He received several research grants during his academic career.

Born in Gaza City in 1970, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with distinction with first class honors in 1992 from Zagazig University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and in 1996 he obtained a Master’s degree in Mathematical Physics with distinction with first class honors from Ain University Shams in the Arab Republic of Egypt. He also obtained a PhD in fluid mechanics from the same university in 2000. He continued his research work in his field of specialization and published more than 16 research papers in international journals. He also participated in more than 15 local and international conferences in the fields of science, mathematics and physics. Supervised many master's and doctoral students.
