Sana Al-Sarghali (born February 2, 1987) is the first Palestinian woman to hold a doctorate in constitutional law in the State of Palestine. She is a Palestinian researcher in the field of law and constitution, professor of constitutional law at An-Najah National University’s College of Law, and founder and director of the Center for Constitutional Studies at An-Najah University. She holds the UNESCO Chair for Democracy, Human Rights and Peace, and is the first Palestinian woman to serve on the Palestinian Constitution Drafting Committee, where she was appointed by the legislative arm of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Its origins and educational attainment
Sana Samir Hussein Abdullah Al-Sarghali was born in the city of Tulkarm on February 2, 1987. Her maternal grandmother is a Jewish immigrant from Poland. She married her Palestinian grandfather in 1937 in Jerusalem. After their marriage, her grandmother converted to Islam and lived in Tulkarm. Sana completed her secondary education at Al-Adawiya Girls Secondary School in the city. In 2005, she joined An-Najah National University in Nablus, graduating in 2009 with a law degree. In the same year (2009) she joined Durham University in the Faculty of Graduate Studies, graduating in 2010 with a master's degree in law, and in 2011 she joined Lancaster University to complete a doctorate in constitutional law, to be the first Palestinian to obtain a doctorate in constitutional law In this way, she will also be the first Palestinian and Arab to be awarded the Excellence Award by a British university.
