1935, Gaza, former PA minister of justice studied law in Egypt before going on to work as an attorney and judge in the Gaza Strip. A veteran independent lawyer, he became attorney-general and a member of the Palestinian higher judiciary council before being appointed PA minister for Justice on Oct. 2002.
