Dr. Adnan M. M. Mjalli, Ph.D. serves as the Chief Executive Officer of High Point Clinical Trials Center, LLC. Dr. Mjalli founded TransTech Pharma, Inc., in 1999 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Dr. Mjalli served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of High Point Pharmaceuticals, LLC until March 28, 2014. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of vTv Therapeutics Inc. He is an internationally recognized expert in drug discovery and development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Dr. Mjalli served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Pharmacore Inc. from December 1998 to November 2000. Dr. Mjalli held various positions of increasing responsibility in research and senior management at several pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies including Merck & Co. Inc. and Ontogen Corporation. He serves as Chairman of Pharmacore Inc and High Point Pharmaceuticals LLC. He served as the Chairman at TransTech Pharma, Inc. He serves as a Director of North Carolina Biotechnology Center located in Research Triangle Park, NC, and on the Advisory Committee for Biotechnology in the Piedmont Triad. He served as a Director of SIGA Technologies Inc., from January 8, 2004 to December 15, 2009. He is the Author of more than 40 scientific papers, 30 patents and four book chapters. Dr. Mjalli has been the Recipient of several awards and honors including: The 2007 Fast 50 Award honoring the Triads 50 fastest growing private companies and their CEOs, Carolinas regional Finalist for Ernst & Young 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year, the Health Care Heroes Innovator Award and the North Carolina Biotechnology Economic Development Award from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center. He has been named among the Triads Most Influential People, was issued the City of High Point North Carolina Key Award and awarded the Science Award in Recognition and Appreciation of Excellence in Innovation and Creativity by Helios Pharmaceuticals. He was the Recipient of Academic Awards such as the Glaxo Group Research Scholarship for Ph.D. degree, the Lovis Rydon Memorial Research Prize for Outstanding Research from the University of Exeter and the European Economic Community Scholarship for M.S. He completed postdoctoral work at the University of Rochester. Dr. Mjalli holds a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry in 1989 from the University of Exeter, UK.
