Founder and board member of the Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES) .
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University in 1972.
He received a master’s degree in structural engineering from Purdue University, Indiana, USA in 1974.
He received his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering and Foundations from the University of California, Berkeley, California, USA in 1978.
He worked in teaching and conducting research at the University of California, Berkeley from 1975 to 1979.
He worked in San Francisco as a geotechnical engineer on major projects from 1979 to 1981.
He worked as the head of the Soil and Roads Department at the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan from 1982 to 1983.
The Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES) was founded in 1983 in Amman, Jordan. ACES is an engineering consultancy firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, site surveying, construction materials testing and technology, and quality control for construction projects.
He has numerous publications in the field of geotechnical engineering.

Member of the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of Injaz Foundation.
Member of the Board of Trustees at the National University College of Technology.
Member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Palestine Studies.
Member of the General Assembly and former Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Cooperation Foundation.
Founding partner of the Creativity Foundation for Finance in Palestine, a non-profit organization.
