Information
Salah Zaqout is an Ukrainian professor of Palestinian origin. He obtained a Doctor of Science (D.O.S.) degree in Philosophy from Russia, and in 2004 was awarded the title of Professor in International Relations in Ukraine. In the same year, he received an honorary doctorate from the Regional Academy for Personnel Training in recognition of his efforts and research. He was one of the principal founders of the Arab-Ukrainian Institute, established in 2003.
In 2007, he was accredited as an academic member of the International Spiritual Academy for the Unity of the Peoples of the World. He worked as a social researcher and Professor of Philosophy at 7 April University, and later as a Professor of Philosophy at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
He served as Director of the Arab-Ukrainian Institute for International Relations (Ibn Rushd). He has been a member of the European Forum for Peace since 2002, and has served since 2003 as a member of the International Commission for Human Rights in Ukraine, responsible for the Arab world section, a position he continues to hold to this day.
