Information

Sami Al-Theeb is a Swiss lawyer and writer of Palestinian origin from the village of Zababdeh, Jenin District. He served as the head of Arab and Islamic law at the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law and translated the Swiss Constitution into Arabic for the Swiss Federal Government.

He teaches at various universities in Switzerland, France, and Italy and is the author of numerous books and articles on Arab and Islamic law.

In 2008, he published the Qur’an in Arabic along with its French translation in chronological order, following the Al-Azhar interpretation, with notes on different recitations, abrogated verses, and references to Jewish and Christian texts.

Dr. Al-Theeb received the Viginer Prize from the University of Fribourg Law School for his doctoral thesis.
