Asmaa Radwan is a professor with extensive academic and research experience in the fields of biopharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology. She began her academic career at An-Najah National University in Palestine, where she served as a Research and Teaching Assistant in the College of Pharmacy from 2001 to 2004. She later became a Lecturer in the same college between 2006 and 2009, teaching courses in pharmaceutical technology. From 2013 to 2015, she held the position of Assistant Professor in the Pharmacy Department at the College of Medical Sciences, focusing on the field of biopharmaceutics.
Dr. Radwan obtained her PhD in Pharmacy Technology and Pharmacokinetics from Johannes Gutenberg Mainz University in Germany (2009–2013). Her doctoral research, titled Mechanistic Investigation of Negative Food Effect for BCS Class III Compounds in Solid Dosage Forms, provided valuable insights into food–drug interactions and their impact on drug absorption and bioavailability. Prior to her doctoral studies, she completed her Master’s degree in Pharmacy Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology (2004–2006), following her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from An-Najah National University (1997).
Her research interests include biopharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology, with a particular focus on in vitro prediction of the in vivo behavior of dosage forms under viscous fed conditions, formulation development and dosage form design, dissolution and disintegration studies, as well as the effects of food on drug absorption and bioavailability. She has a strong academic track record and continues to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences through both teaching and research.
