Mr. Marwan Jumaa Muhammad Darwish "Ruwaidi" currently serves as the Quality Assurance Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs at Al-Quds Open University. He holds a PhD in Financial and Banking Sciences with a specialization in Financial Management from the Arab Academy for Financial Sciences in Jordan (2005). He also earned a Master’s degree in Financial and Banking Sciences (1996) from the same institution and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Beirut Arab University (1993).
With extensive experience spanning over two decades, Mr. Darwish began his career as a teacher at College of the Nation (1996–1998) and concurrently served as a part-time academic supervisor at Al-Quds Open University. He also worked briefly as a Facilities Officer at Arab Bank in 1998. At Al-Quds Open University, he progressed through various administrative and academic roles including Academic and Administrative Assistant, Director of Human Resources, Faculty Member, Assistant Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Acting Director of the Administrative and Economic Sciences Program, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences, Jerusalem Branch Manager, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, and Quality Assurance Vice President for Financial Affairs.
Since March 2023, he has been fulfilling his role as Q.A. Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, contributing significantly to the administrative and financial development of the university.
