Ihab Hijazi's education began at My Destiny Touqan High School in Palestine, where he completed his high school education between 1992 and 1994. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Architecture at An-Najah National University in Palestine, where he studied from 1994 to 1999. His undergraduate thesis was focused on a comprehensive school project.
After completing his Bachelor's, Ihab Hijazi pursued a Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems at the University of Redlands in the United States, from 2004 to 2005. His thesis at Redlands was on the Redlands City Sewer Network, with a focus on GIS for design.
He then went on to earn a PhD in Geoinformatics from Osnabrück University in Germany, where he studied from 2008 to 2012. His doctoral thesis was on the integrated management of indoor and outdoor utilities by utilizing BIM and GIS.
In terms of career history, Ihab Hijazi began his professional journey at An-Najah National University in Palestine, where he served as a Research and Teaching Assistant from September 1, 2000, to January 1, 2006. Following this, he worked as a teacher at the same institution from January 20, 2006, to August 1, 2007. He continued his academic career at An-Najah National University as an Assistant Professor from January 16, 2012, to May 16, 2016, and later as an Associate Professor from April 1, 2018, to August 6, 2018.
