Information
Ahmad Al-Bishtawi is a researcher and academic at An-Najah National University. He holds a PhD in International Law from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. His PhD thesis examined the role of international law in confronting Israeli hegemony over water resources in the occupied Palestinian territory. He also holds a Master’s degree in Private Law from An-Najah National University and his Master’s thesis examined patent licensing agreements. Prior to joining An-Najah National University, he worked as a legal advisor at the Palestinian Water Authority. He also joined the Palestinian Bar Association and worked as an independent lawyer and in some law firms. His research interests include: international humanitarian law, international human rights law, natural resources law, international water law and international relations.
