Fahmi Tawfiq Muqbil (1944-2016) is a Palestinian author and academic , born in the village of Sindiana in Haifa . He obtained a BA in History in 1974 and a General Diploma in Education in 1975 from Beirut Arab University, in addition to obtaining a Diploma in Postgraduate Arab and Islamic Studies ( Islamic History ) from the same university in 1979. He completed his PhD in 1983 from the University of Manchester in Britain in Modern History from the Department of Oriental Studies . 

He died on November 17, 2016 in Irbid , Jordan . 

His biography 

Muqbil worked in the field of teaching for a year at the University of Constantine in Algeria in the Department of History in 1983. He then traveled to Saudi Arabia and worked as a teacher at King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa in the Department of Social Studies in the College of Education in 1984, and as an associate professor in 1995. He was also a prominent member of many departments and sections such as the library, the Personal Interviews Committee, Admissions and Registration, and the Committee for Preparing a Book on the History of the Establishment of the University. 

He gave more than 50 public lectures to scientific institutions and universities , and his articles were published in many Arab newspapers. He was a contributor to many scientific conferences and seminars inside and outside Saudi Arabia.
