The College of Finance and Management, in cooperation with the “Bader to Boycott Israeli Products” campaign, held a meeting to introduce students. Professor Nael Sayed Ahmed, a lecturer at the college, welcomed the representatives of the campaign and focused on the importance of such campaigns to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and to resist the occupation in all its economic, social, political and intellectual forms, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students of the college.
Then, Dr. Othman Abu Sobha spoke about the importance of the initiative and the need for Palestinian society to rally around such national campaigns and how they contribute to undermining the Israeli occupation economically and politically, and how the campaign, over a period not exceeding 12 years, succeeded in moving more than 170 countries against the Israeli economy and its various products and destroyed The Israeli economy lost more than $30 billion.
Then, talk was made about the most important Israeli products targeted through the campaign and their alternatives locally and in the Arab world. The objectives of the campaign were also emphasized, such as supporting the national product, strengthening the national economy, highlighting the role of youth in serving the issues of the Palestinian people, and creating more job opportunities locally.
Finally, the floor was opened for discussion with the attending students about various areas related to the initiative, and the views of supporters and opponents of the campaign were discussed. Professor Sayed Ahmed thanked the campaign representatives for their presence and active participation and urged the students to participate in such campaigns and the necessity of holding similar meetings in the near future within the university to support the local product and the national economy.
