Biography:
Ahmad Ayed, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at Arab American University Palestine, Faculty of Nursing. He obtained his BSN from Jordan University of Science and Technology, MPH from AlNNajah University, and MSN from Al-Quds University. Ayed completed his Ph.D. at the University of Jordan (2019) and his research topic was “effect of High Fidelity Simulation on clinical Judgment, satisfaction, and confidence among pediatric nursing students.” Ayed worked in adult medical-surgical unit, emergency department, and pediatric care unit.
He has been a nurse for over 30 years. His clinical background is in trauma, neuro, pediatrics, and critical care and has extensive experience in these areas. He has been teaching for over 15 years in the university and clinical settings. He has published several articles in simulation and child health. Other accomplishments include the 2019 Best PhD thesis for 2019- The Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties Awards. Ayed presents both nationally and internationally at nursing conferences on a variety of topics, He most recently presented “effect of High fidelity simulation on emotional intelligence among nursing students, Spain (March 2020).
