Dr. Ghada Hamed Ismail Al-Barghouti, from the village of Deir Ghassaneh, Ramallah Governorate, was able to win the OWSD-ELSEVIER Foundation Award-2021 for Women Scientists in Developing Countries, becoming the second Palestinian woman to receive this award and the first in the field of optoelectronics and nanotechnology.
Ghada is a researcher in applied physics at the Photonics Research Laboratory at New York University Abu Dhabi.
The honoring ceremony will be held virtually on February 9 from 8-9 pm Palestine time.
