Information
Khalil Suleiman (1943/1944 - March 4, 2002 in Jenin camp) was a physician from Palestine. He held the position of Director of the Palestine Red Crescent Society in Jenin.
Two other members of the medical staff were killed and seriously injured when the ambulance he was traveling in was hit by an incendiary bomb fired by the Israeli army during its invasion of Jenin camp in 2002 as part of its military operation, Defensive Shield, as a result of the second Palestinian intifada.
The International Committee of the Red Cross and the European Union condemned this attack. The Palestinian Ministry of Health named Jenin Governmental Hospital after Khalil Suleiman in his honor.
