Mahmoud Mousa Ahmed Abu Moise (b. 1952 in Jenin) is a Palestinian university professor and dentist. He holds a doctorate degree in dentistry, and has held the position of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the government of Muhammad Shtayyeh since April 13, 2019.
Education and educational attainment
Mahmoud Abu Mowais was born in Jenin in 1952. He received his full basic, preparatory, and secondary education in the city, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in oral and dental medicine from Cairo University in 1976. He obtained a master’s degree from the University of London in 1984, and obtained a fellowship certificate in surgery and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1987. Abu Mwais holds a board certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Jordan and Palestine.
