Professor Shafiq Abdulhadi Breik was one of Nablus's most distinguished figures and a respected educator who mentored many prominent individuals in Jordan and Palestine. He studied at the American University of Beirut, graduating in 1934. He then served as the principal of the Safed School before moving to Jordan in 1948. There, he was one of the founders of Al-Hussein College, where he served as its principal for a considerable period. Later, he became an inspector for the Ministry of Education, Jordan's representative to UNESCO, and an expert on teacher training institutes. From 1964, he served as a cultural attaché at the Jordanian Embassy in Jeddah. He was a mentor to generations and a cultural figure of whom we are proud in all circles. His memory remains cherished even more than 25 years after his passing, may God have mercy on him. With deepest respect.
