Dr. Ramez Assaf is an Assistant Professor. Born on June 21, 1983 in Nablus, Palestine, he has dedicated his career to the advancement of engineering through research, teaching, and professional contributions.
He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2012, his research was on “Stochasticity Analysis of Multistage Manufacturing Systems Outputs”. Before receiving his PhD, he completed his MSc in Engineering Management at the same institution in 2008 and earned his BSc in Industrial Engineering from An-Najah National University in 2005.
Since September 1, 2022, he has been a visiting professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at An-Najah National University in Palestine. At the University of Business and Technology (UBT) in Jeddah, he has been an assistant professor, playing a key role in program development and quality enhancement (2016-2022).
His teaching experience covers a wide range of courses such as engineering economics, systems analysis, and production planning. He has contributed significantly to enhancing the learning process in the Master’s programs in Engineering Management and Supply Chain Management.
His research legacy includes numerous publications in prestigious journals and conferences, and research topics include renewable energy, quality management, and industrial systems optimization. Dr. Ramez Assaf is known for his active participation in conferences and presentations.
In academic matters, he has played a vital role on multiple committees related to curriculum development, accreditation, and program improvement. His dedication extends to professional memberships, reflecting his commitment to the growth of engineering.
