Information
Dr. Basil started working at An-Najah National University in 1999/2000. Having extensive experience in university teaching, he rejects the idea of indoctrinating students with information. Therefore, Dr. Basil uses interactive teaching methods in his teaching, and he also draws on real-life legal cases to encourage students to think critically and analytically. Dr. Basil has conducted several research papers, most of which focused on international law, especially from the perspective of terrorism and citizenship, and the legal responsibility of the head of state before international courts, especially the International Criminal Court. Currently, Dr. Basil is researching the issue of humanitarian intervention and its impact on the sovereignty and national jurisdiction of the state. He also co-authored with another lecturer a legal article on the subject of the legal protection of women in times of conflict.
In his spare time, Dr. Basil works as a real estate arbitrator at the Ministry of Justice.
