Dr. Akram Rahal is a professor in the Department of Accounting at the College of Business and Economics at the University of Jerusalem. His primary teaching areas include Managerial Accounting, Taxation, and Financial Accounting. He has also held various administrative positions, including serving as the Dean of the College of Business and Economics for five years, Chair of the Accounting Department, founder and director of the Internal Audit Unit, and director of the Human Resources Department.
Dr. Rahal earned his Ph.D. degree from Hacettepe University in Turkey in 2008, a master's degree from the University of Jerusalem, and a bachelor's degree from Bethlehem University, all in the field of accounting.
Before joining the academic and administrative staff at the University of Jerusalem, Dr. Rahal worked as an accountant at the Palestinian Telecommunications Company. He has several research papers in the field of Managerial Accounting and Taxation published in peer-reviewed international journals.
