Dr. Muhannad Haj Hussein holds a PhD in Architecture Sciences and Technologies from Bordeaux 1 University and the Faculty of Architecture in Bordeaux, France. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Construction Engineering at An-Najah University. He has more than 13 years of experience in environmental architecture and sustainability. He worked as a consultant for several architectural projects in the field of green buildings and participated in several workshops and training programs related to awareness about green buildings and sustainability.
He worked as a part-time lecturer at the School of Architecture of the City of Bordeaux during his doctoral studies. He is also a research associate in the GRECCAU laboratory in the fields of sustainable architecture, environmental comfort in architecture, lighting systems, and architectural and urban acoustics.
Dr. Muhannad is an expert in computer programs related to computing and simulating buildings in the fields of energy, thermal comfort, lighting and acoustics.
He published more than 10 research papers and was the coordinator of several funded papers in the field of sustainability research and environmental systems in buildings.
In addition, Dr. Muhannad participated in a number of scientific committees at international conferences.
