The American
Stanford University announced that the scientist Bashar Saad, a lecturer at the
Arab American University, was chosen among the 2% of the list of the best
scientists in the world for the year 2021, due to his excellence in important
scientific research.
This
classification is based on the bibliometric information (which uses statistical
methods and mathematical methods in analyzing data on documents) contained in
the Scopus database.
The Stanford
ranking includes more than 160,000 researchers among the more than 8 million
active scientists worldwide, taking into account 22 scientific fields and 176
subfields. The classification excludes self-citations, focusing on the position
of researchers in authoring scientific papers.
Researcher
Professor Bashar Saad is witnessed by scientific circles all over the world in
his specialization, and he has a distinguished presence on international
science platforms through his research, lectures and scientific books.
Professor Saad
is currently working on the secularization and modernization of Arab-Islamic
medicine, and he won several scientific awards, including the award for best
research in complementary medicine in 2010.
Professor Saad
is a member of the editorial board of many international journals in the field
of medicinal plants. He organized and chaired many international scientific
conferences.
Professor Saad
was also appointed this year as a permanent member of the International Academy
of Sciences (TWAS), in recognition of his distinguished contributions to
scientific research.
