Information
Ahmed Basalat is an Assistant
Professor in the Department of Physics - An-Najah National University, a researcher
in the Atlas experiment at CERN, and a visiting researcher at the Longitudinal
Accelerator Laboratory in France. He supervises several master's theses. He
leads several activities in order to be able to involve An-Najah National
University and other Palestinian universities in the world of high energy
physics by creating scientific and research cooperation with European and
American universities, CERN in Switzerland, and Cesme in Jordan.
He has been running a student
exchange project funded by the European Union with a budget of half a million
euros since 2018
d work Connections to the
establishment of the Winter School in High Energy Physics in Palestine, which
is held every year at the university in cooperation with the most prestigious
universities and research institutions, according to which many scholarships
and student opportunities were provided.
He also founded the Center of
Excellence in High Energy Physics in Palestine
