Issam Nemer (English: Issam Nemer) is a Palestinian-American space scientist, born in Jenin in 1926 and died on July 15, 2005 in the United States of America.

Issam Al-Nimr received his primary education in the schools of Jenin and finished high school at An-Najah National School in Nablus, then joined the University of "Utah" in the United States in 1949, and graduated from it in 1953 in engineering sciences. He pursued his graduate studies at New York University, where he obtained his Ph.D. with a specialization in the field of quantitative calculation, and until 1955 he worked as a development engineer at the "International" company in Chicago. In 1960, he joined the California Rocket Dean Corporation, which makes giant rocket engines. During his work, he demonstrated high skills in developing internal combustion machines, which helped him to join the space industry and in 1968 he moved to the United States Space Agency "NASA" in Houston, the capital of the state of Texas, and took command of the test group for the lunar module "Luna"

 

Achievements and Awards

And d. Issam is among the few scientists who give the final signal for the launch of spacecraft, as he participated in the launch of the Apollo spacecraft, including Apollo 11, which was the first spacecraft to land on the moon's surface in 1969.
