Information
Imad Hassouna was born in 1975. He is from Al-Jalazun refugee camp near Ramallah in the West Bank.
He has been in the field of maintaining truck engines for about twenty years, and he invented an air-powered engine. He discovered the idea in 2007 and obtained a certificate of invention from the Ministry of Invention. Also, the Al-Nayzak Foundation supported him with a check of $10,000, and the Palestinian Authority gave him a Defender cart to do the invention on the cart.
Hassouna explained that the idea started two years ago when he was checking an engine by compressing the air inside it, so the truck moved a short distance, so he concluded that compressed air has the ability to drive the engine to rotate.
