the biography
Jordanian author, writer for Al Rai newspaper, where he writes his weekly article. He was born on June 4, 1945 in Al-Dawayima/Hebron in 1945. He obtained a diploma from the Teachers Institute in Hawara, Irbid in 1968. He worked as a teacher for the Ministry of Education for 21 years, from 1968 to 1989.
He was elected to hold several positions in the administrative body of the Jordanian Writers Association since its establishment in 1974 until he was elected president of the association for the years 1995-1997. He worked as a cultural editor for Al-Bayt Al-Arabi magazine in 1981, Al-Ufaq Al-Iqtisadi magazine in 1982, Al-Dustour newspaper in 1984, and Sawt Al-Shaab newspaper for the years 1984-1989. He was also the editor-in-chief of the weekly supplement for the same newspaper for the same years, and a writer of a weekly article in Al-Rai newspaper for the years 1992-1999.
He was also a writer of a weekly article in Al-Dustour newspaper from 1999 to Now. He wrote a number of television series including: My dear son, Night Winds, Cold Sidewalk, Faces and Masks, Firewood and Fire, The Maze, Late Night, Between Two Fires, Nora, The Journey of a Lifetime, Between the Mind and the Heart, Masoud Zaman, Uncle Noman, Three Women, Days and Stories, Dust of Days.
He also wrote television films including: A Fishing Trip, Two Women, Getting Out of the Circle of Silence, in addition to other television programs and dramatic works, apart from his children’s play A Lesson in Friendship, which was presented at the Department of Culture and Arts Theater in 1984 and at the Jerash Festival in the same year. He is a member of the Jordanian Writers Association, the Palestinian Writers Union, and the Arab Writers Union.
