Information

A Palestinian actor, writer and director living in Haifa. He wrote and acted in several theatrical works, including “Al-Hawtah” which he wrote, “Sahib Al-Karmel” which he wrote, “Qanadeel Malak Al-Jalil” which he wrote based on the novel by Ibrahim Nasrallah, “Al-Mushkhasati” which he wrote in collaboration with Alaa Halilhel and Firas Khatib, and “Gharbna Al-Bahr” which was written and directed by Amir Nizar Zoabi. He also wrote and acted in the monodrama “Taha” in its Arabic and English versions, based on the biography of the poet Taha Muhammad Ali, which won the Best Asian Work Award at the Edinburgh Festival 2017.

He also acted in William Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest” as Caliban on the stage of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), England, “Goats” at the Royal Court Theatre in England, “The Servant of Two Masters” as Truffaldino, and “The Virgin and Death” as Dr. Roberto Miranda, “When Joseph Said” as Joseph, “The Punishment Settlement” as the soldier, “Diab” as Diab, a play that won the Best Actor Award at the 2005 Theater Festival, “Gilgamesh is Not Dead” as Enkidu, directed by Francois Abu Salem, and other plays.

He also appeared in several films, including: “Tel Aviv on Fire”, “Personal Affairs”, “Oh Flying Bird”, “The Remaining Time”, “America”, “Without a Mobile” and “Paradise Now”, which won a Golden Globe Award. He also directed and prepared many works, including: “The Story and What’s in It”, “Urgent News”, “Searching for the Dream”, “Thank You”, “Prayer” (Video), “Al Tagreba”, “Summer Vacationers”, and “Love in a Cloud”.
