Information
Palestinian theatre director and actor, born in Hebron, Palestine. He obtained a higher diploma in acting from the special training programme at the Dutch-Palestinian Theatre Day Institute (1997-2001), and obtained a higher diploma in a complementary study entitled “Measuring Drama in Education and Its Impact” from the University of Gdańsk in Poland in 2006.
Zahida has acted in many plays that have been shown to audiences locally and internationally. He has received many training courses and workshops with professors from many international theaters on various topics related to acting and theater directing locally and internationally, including the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Germany, Japan, France, Austria, and Britain. He has written, prepared, and directed many international plays, and won the first international award for abstract theater in Italy "Milan" in 2013 for the play "3 in 1". Zahida won the "His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi" Award for the best Arab theatrical performance for the play "Lost Horses" in the seventh session in the city of Rabat in 2015. He also won the Best Direction and Best Complete Work Awards and other awards at the tenth session of the Theater Without Production Festival in 2019 for the play "3 in 1".
He is a member of the Palestinian Performing Arts Network, a member of the Supreme Committee of the Palestinian National Theater Festival, the second session in 2019, and a member of the jury of the Arab Theater Festival of the Arab Theater Authority, the twelfth session in 2020, Jordan. He currently works at the Yes Theater, and is one of its founders in 2008 in the city of Hebron.
