Tariq Al-Arian (September 12, 1963) is a Palestinian director from the city of Jenin. He was born in the State of Kuwait and resides in Egypt. He holds American citizenship after residing in America for a long time in addition to his original (Palestinian) nationality. He is the son of film producer Riyad Al-Arian, who produced most of Ahmed Zaki’s films. Al-Arian learned the principles of directing in the United States of America in the state of Illinois in Chicago, which positively affected his successful works by virtue of his blending of Arab cinema with the Western touch.

Tariq Al-Arian married three times, the first in the early 1990s to a Palestinian woman from the city of Jerusalem who works outside the artistic community called “Hala Al-Attal”, and she gave birth to his son “Omar” in 1990, and they separated, so that he married again to the Egyptian media, Angie Ali, so he separated again, and he was married to the Syrian singer Asala Nasri since March 27, 2006, then they announced their separation in January 2020, and he has twins, Adam and Ali, on May 27, 2011.

Although his films are numbered on the fingers of the hand, he was able to make his mark in the artistic arena. Al-Arian also has an important credit in directing video clips for many singers headed by: Asala, Amr Diab, Amal Maher, Nawal Al Zoghbi, Ramy Sabry and others.
