Jibril Mahmoud Muhammad Rajoub (Abu Rami) (born May 14, 1953) is a Palestinian politician and president of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the Palestinian Football Association, the Palestinian Olympic Committee, and the Palestinian Scouts and Guides Association. President and founder of Preventive Security in the West Bank until 2002, as He was a member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council until 2009, and was elected to the Fatah Central Committee at the movement's sixth conference in 2009, becoming deputy secretary of the committee until 2017, before becoming the secretary of the movement's central committee in the same year.

His full name is Jibril Mahmoud Muhammad Rajoub, he was born in the town of Dura near Hebron on May 14, 1953 and spent his childhood there. He began to engage in the defense of Palestine early, so he was arrested by the Shin Bet in 1968 - he was 15 years old at the time - on suspicion of being involved in helping fleeing Egyptian officers, so he spent four months in prison. while in prison; He met with the Fatah leader Abu Ali Shaheen, who recommended his acceptance in the movement, which was secret at the time. after his release; Jibril directly joined Fatah, where he worked to help the movement's fighters and facilitate their movements, as he tried to form several small formations in the Hebron hills.

in September 1970; Rajoub was arrested by the occupation forces after he threw a bomb at an Israeli army bus near Hebron. He was tried and convicted of several charges, including carrying out the bomb attack, as well as “belonging to an armed group” and was sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor. Rajoub became a prominent figure afterwards as he led hunger strikes and protests from inside prisons and studied Hebrew extensively, so he and a colleague translated Menachem Begin's Revolution book into Arabic. Rajoub spent time moving between several prisons throughout the West Bank and Israel; Where the "Israeli authorities" were transporting prisoners from one place to another to disrupt their organization or end their plans.

On May 20, 1985; Rajoub was one of the 1,150 Arab prisoners who were released in exchange for three Israeli hostages held by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command, but he was soon re-arrested in November of the same year after he continued his peaceful and armed activity against the occupation soldiers. This time he was interrogated before being placed in solitary confinement and then taken to hospital after a 30-day hunger strike. after his recovery; He returned to prison again and was released after seven months. In September of 1986; He was arrested for the third time and again due to his struggle against the occupation forces, where he was sentenced to prison until March 1987.

He holds a Higher Diploma in Security Studies from the Russian Security and Defense College in 2004.
He holds a master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Al-Quds University in 2009.
Rajoub continued to work with Fatah in the West Bank; He was then arrested for his activities during the first intifada in December 1987 and deported to Lebanon in January 1988. Jibril later moved to the capital, Tunis, where he worked as an advisor to Fatah's deputy leader Khalil al-Wazir. After the latter was assassinated by Israeli intelligence; Rajoub became a confidant of Yasser Arafat and is said to have been behind the 1992 assassination of Ariel Sharon.
