Hatem Muhammad Hilmi Abd al-Samee Bakri (born March 9 , 1964 in Hebron ) is a Sharia judge and preacher at the Ibrahimi Mosque . He served as Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the State of Palestine from the limited ministerial reshuffle of the government of Muhammad Shtayyeh on January 1, 2022, until March 31, 2024.
His life
Al-Bakri obtained a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sharia from Hebron University .
He was the director of the office of the mayor of Hebron , the deputy head of the Sharia Court of Appeal, and the secretary of the Supreme Council of Sharia Judiciary in the State of Palestine .
He ran on the Fatah movement's list to run in the 2021 Palestinian legislative elections . The postponement was announced by decree of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on April 30, 2021.
