Fuad Mahmoud Arafa al-Bitar (Abu al-Walid; born December 1 , 1940 in Jaffa – died November 5, 2007 in Amman) was a Palestinian politician , diplomat , and member of the Palestinian National Council, Fatah, and its Revolutionary Council . He was a representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization and its ambassador to Tanzania (the first Palestinian ambassador ), Cyprus , Italy , Greece , and Romania .
