Salim Mustafa Salim Al-Saqqa (born in 1954 in Khan Yunis) is a Palestinian lawyer and politician, and the Palestinian Minister of Justice since June 2, 2014. He was born in Khan Yunis in 1954, and completed his basic education there, then obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Alexandria University in 1978. He was nominated in 2003. To chair the Judicial Institute Council.
Legislative elections 2006
In 2006, Al-Saqqa ran for the Legislative Council elections for the Khan Yunis district, as an independent candidate.
Ministry of Justice
Al-Saqa has been the Minister of Justice in the Palestinian National Consensus Government since June 2, 2014, headed by Rami Hamdallah .
Positions and opinions
Al-Saqqa has participated over the past years in calling for Palestinian reconciliation, and he has become famous for his rejection of Israeli military trials.
