Shaddad Ahmed Rashad Al-Atili (born
on May 23, 1967 in Abha, Saudi Arabia -); A Palestinian politician who held the
position of Minister of the Palestinian Water Authority, Deputy
Secretary-General of the Union for the Mediterranean, Assistant Secretary-General
of the Union for Water and Environment Affairs, and responsible for the file of
water negotiations in the Palestine Liberation Organization.
His upbringing and education
Shaddad Ahmed Rashad Al-Atili was
born on May 23, 1967 in the Saudi city of Abha to a Palestinian family from the
town of Atil in Tulkarm Governorate. His father is the Palestinian poet and
writer Ahmed Rashad Al-Atili.
He obtained a bachelor’s degree in
“Earth and Environmental Sciences” from Yarmouk University in 1989, a master’s
degree in “industrial geology” from the same university in 1992, and a Ph.D. in
“industrial science and technology” from the University of Orleans in France in
1999.

Shaddad has published a number of
papers and scientific research, including a 2007 paper published in the Water
International Periodical on issues related to the management of the Jordan
River Basin.

efforts in managing one of life's most important files, which is the water
file.
