Emile Al-Ghouri (1907-1984) was a Palestinian Christian politician. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1933. In the same year, he published a newspaper called “Al-Ittihad Al-Arabi”, which was closed by the British Mandate authorities nine months after its publication. He joined the Institute of Law in Jerusalem and obtained a “Law Diploma”. Al-Ghouri was the Secretary of the Higher Arab Committee, as well as the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Arab Party.

 

After the Nakba, he was elected General Secretary of the Palestinian National Council, then became a representative of the Arab Authority in Beirut.

 

Then he held a number of positions. Then he was elected as a representative of Jerusalem in the Jordanian Parliament in 1966. He held the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, and the Ministry of Presidential Affairs in the Jordanian government in 1969 AD and 1971 AD.
