Hussam Arafat (11 March 1962 in Ramin - ) Palestinian politician and jurist. As of 2014, he was a member of the political bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command, and its representative inside Palestine. He resides in the West Bank, and has held the position of Under-Secretary of the Department of Human Rights and Civil Society in the Palestine Liberation Organization since 2018.
Childhood and educational attainment
On March 11, 1962, Hussam Arafat was born in the village of Ramin in the Tulkarm Governorate in the northern West Bank. He received his undergraduate degree in law from Damascus University in 1987, and a master's degree in private law from Birzeit University in 2005.
