Tayseer Khaled is a Palestinian politician (born in 1941 in Qaryut, Palestine), his real name: Muhammad Saadeh Ahmed Mahmoud Odeh, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization for the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, of which he has been a member of its Political Bureau since its founding in 1969.
He joined the ranks of the Democratic Front since its founding in 1969. He received a master's degree in economics and political science from the University of Heidelberg in Germany.
In 1991, he was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization. He headed the National Bureau for Defending the Land and Resisting Settlements. He was wounded while leading a mass rally protesting the settlements in Asira al-Qibliya in 1998. He was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces in early 2003, and released in June of the same year.
In 2005, he ran for the second Palestinian presidential elections since 1996 as one of the left-wing candidates in the organization. Which got 3.35% of the vote.
