Information
1949, Nahr al-Bared Refugee Camp in northern Lebanon, originally from al-Damoun Village near Haifa. He has been living in Gaza Strip since 1996, diploma from Teachers College and pursued university studies, worked as a teacher at the UNRWA schools in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, member of the PNC since 1977 and a member of the Palestinian Central Council of the PLO since 1991, one of the commanders of the battle defending Tal al-Za'tar Camp (1975-1976); member of the Front Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine since 1977 and member of the Front's Politburo since 1989; assumed the position of DFLP official in Lebanon from 1988 until 1996. Appointed Minister of Social Affairs in 2007.
