Khaled Ahmed Khaled Erekat (born March 20, 1955 in Abu Dis ) is a Palestinian diplomat who served as the Palestinian Ambassador to Ukraine from 2006 to 2011 , and as the Palestinian Ambassador to Belarus from 2011 to 2022. 

His life

He was born in the town of Abu Dis in 1955 during the period of Jordanian administration of the West Bank, and received his school education there. He joined the University of Damascus , but was forced to interrupt his studies there and move to Lebanon due to the dispute between the Syrian regime and the Palestine Liberation Organization . He completed his university studies in Moscow in the Soviet Union and held the position of President of the General Union of Palestinian Students and "Secretary of the Region" of the Fatah Movement there, and obtained a doctorate in international law.

He was appointed as a cultural advisor at the PLO office in Moscow, then returned to the Palestinian territories after the Oslo Accords, and held the position of Director General in the Ministry of Higher Education. He moved to work in the Palestinian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation , and rose through the ranks of the ministry until he was appointed in 2005 as Ambassador to Ukraine until he was appointed in 2011 as Ambassador to Belarus and continued until 2022. He was Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Belarus.
