Tawfiq Abu Al-Huda Al-Taji Al-Farouqi was born in the city of 1895 to a family with well-known origins from the city of Ramla. He was appointed to the position of Prime Minister twelve times in Jordan in the period between (1954-1958) during the reign of three kings, namely King Abdullah I bin Al-Hussein and King Talal. Bin Abdullah and King Hussein bin Talal, who has the highest number of government formations in contemporary Jordanian history.
Tawfiq Abu Al-Huda Al-Farouqi received his primary education in Ramla and his secondary education in Beirut, then he joined the Royal Office in Istanbul to study law for three years.
He was called to military service in 1915, and was appointed as a reserve officer, as an accountant on the Iraq, Iran and Aleppo fronts until the Ottoman forces withdrew from Syria.
In 1918, he was appointed as a clerk at the School of Law in Syria, and he continued to serve there until about two years after the French took control of Damascus (1919-1922).
Tawfiq Abu Al-Huda moved from Damascus to Amman in 1922, and was appointed Director of Imports. Within six years, he was able to quickly rise through the ranks of responsible positions, starting from Director of Imports to Director of Public Accounting to Director of the Land Registry Department, and a member of the Executive Council in 1928. Then he was appointed Secretary-General of the Government in 1929, and assumed the presidency of the Executive Council in 1938.
Tawfiq Abu Al-Huda Al-Taji Al-Farouqi is considered a political and diplomatic figure of a high caliber. He occupied a wide space in the pages of written and oral history, and formed a state of consensus among his friends and opponents as a statesman.
He was firm and established clear political traditions in the course of the Jordanian state. During his reign, the name of the government was changed from the Executive Council to the Council of Ministers. It is recorded for this veteran politician that he led, with his colleagues and heads of Arab governments, a series of negotiations that led to the birth of the Arab League in 1945, and Jordan was one of the founders. she has.
During its sixth government, Jordan took the decision to participate in the 1948 war, and in light of the consequences that befell Palestine and Jordan following the Nakba, it took the decision to naturalize the Palestinians so that they could participate in the parliamentary elections that resulted in the unification of the West and East Banks.
He was granted the title of " Bash " by Prince Abdullah bin Al Hussein, with the formation of his first government in 1938.
Tawfiq Abu Al-Huda died in 1956, under mysterious circumstances.
