Musa Hadid (March 13, 1965 in Ramallah -) is a Palestinian engineer who served as mayor of Ramallah between 2012 and 2022 for two terms. He also held the position of President of the Palestinian Federation of Palestinian Local Authorities for two terms between 2012 and 2023.

Education and educational attainment
Musa Hadid was born in 1965 in the city of Ramallah. In 1993, he graduated from Birzeit University with a BA in Civil Engineering.

Hadid's political career began when he became involved in the student movement during his studies at Birzeit University. With the outbreak of the first Palestinian intifada, the Israeli occupation arrested him.

2012 local council elections

In October 2012, local council elections were held in the Palestinian territories, where three electoral blocs ran for the presidency of the Ramallah municipality. The Abnaa al-Balad bloc was headed by Hadid, and won 8 seats out of 15.

Local council elections 2017

In May 2017, Hadid ran again to run in the local council elections, as he headed the “Sons of the Country” bloc, which is one of the four competing blocs. The bloc also won 8 of the 15 seats.
