Born in Nazareth, Palestine in 1942. Graduated with a B.S in law from Beirut, as well as a Diploma in Economics from London. Was a member of the Jordanian Parliament, representing Jenin District. Appointed the press attaché of the Jordanian Embassy in Beirut, then its tourism attaché until November 1971. Secretary of the West Bank Affairs Committee from June 1972 until May 1973.
