Born in Gaza City in 1909, graduated from the American University in Cairo, majoring in politics and economics, held a position as a permanent resident in Haifa during the British occupation. He founded the first sports club in 1934 and founded the Arab World newspaper.

He is a distinguished economic, political and social figure. His ideas and actions had a great impact on the lives of the citizens of Gaza City.

 

Achievements and Awards

He founded the first sports club in 1934, known as the Youth Welfare Center (now Gaza Sports Club).

Founded the weekly Al-Watan Al-Arabi newspaper in 1950, and headed its editor-in-chief and assisted by Wadih Al-Tarazi and Ghalib Al-Nashashibi, and it lasted for eight months.

In the 1970s, he created the charitable organization that helped connect Gaza with the Arab countries.
