Information
A research and teaching assistant with four years of experience teaching English language skills at the Language Center at Al-Quds University. She finds a passion in sharing the English language with her students, as well as sharing the story of the language as a whole. She works with her students to uncover and address their individual needs, strengths, and areas of interest, all based on the main purpose of language: the ability to express oneself effectively and communicate with others. Omaima’s MA research from Al-Quds Bard College focused on the impact of using a peer feedback strategy on students’ writing. The results indicated that students viewed peer feedback as a worthwhile experience; it provided an opportunity for social interaction; and it also led to improved students’ writing skills. Her interests focus on developing students’ writing and communication skills.
