Anis Mustafa al-Qasim ( 1925-2021 ) is a Palestinian politician and one of the founders of the Palestine Liberation Organization . He served as Chairman of the Charter and Regulations Committee and Chairman of the Legal Committee in the Palestinian National Council , and chaired the Palestinian National Charter Drafting Committee at the Palestine Liberation Organization's founding conference in 1964. He was also Chairman of the Palestinian Community Association in Britain.
His life
Anis Al-Qasim Abu Osama was born in Kafr Haris , Nablus District . He was educated at Al-Bakriya School, Al-Rashidiya School, and the Arab College in Jerusalem . He studied law at the University of London, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in 1948 and a master's degree in 1950. He also obtained a doctorate after studying fuel and natural gas law in the United States . He also obtained a doctorate in law from the University of London in 1969. He worked as an advisor to the Libyan Ministry of Justice between 1952 and 1960. He participated in the Palestinian negotiating delegation in Madrid in 1991, and was a member of the Board of Trustees of Birzeit University .
His death
Anis Mustafa Al-Qassem died in Spain on January 7, 2021, at the age of 95, and was mourned by the head of the Palestinian National Council, Salim Al-Za’noun.
