Lara Khalidi (1982-) is a Palestinian museum director and cultural producer , appointed director of De Appel Centre for Contemporary Art in the Netherlands in 2023, and in 2019 was selected as one of Apollo Magazine's "40 Under 40 Thinkers in the Middle East".
Her biography
Lara Khalidi was born in Jerusalem and educated at the European Graduate School, SAS in Switzerland . She is also an alumna of the De Appel Curatorial Programme in Amsterdam , and former head of the media department at Al-Quds Bard College. She previously taught art history at Birzeit University and was an instructor at the Sandberg Institute. She has also served as deputy director of the Sharjah Art Foundation and director of the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre in Ramallah . Her curatorial practice has included collaborations with numerous artists and practitioners, including Bojana Sević, Nour Abed, Yazan Khalili, and José A. Sanchez.
