Information
Maher Awartani has more than fifteen years of experience advising leading companies in financial services, communications management, consumer goods, retail and private investment funds. His areas of expertise include strategy development, capital allocation, deal support, performance improvement, and value creation. He has helped many leading private equity and sovereign wealth fund investors define and implement investment strategies in line with their strategic objectives, and has supported them during the execution of some of the largest and most complex deals.
In addition to his work as an advisor to large investors, he worked with three Fortune 500 companies in America to redevelop their operating models and drive large-scale change, significantly increasing their operational efficiencies.
Before joining APIC, he worked as a director with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in New York. Prior to that, he worked over 5 years serving clients in the Middle East and North Africa with Booz & Company. He also spent a brief period with Goldman Sachs in Dubai in sales and trading.
Awartani holds a graduate degree in finance and economics from Columbia University in New York and a bachelor's degree in information science and economics from Hartwick College in New York and Georgetown University.
